I’ve had the privilege of staying in many high-end properties across the globe—but few have left me speechless. Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Los Cabos, Mexico, did just that.
From the moment we arrived, the experience felt elevated, refined, and intentional. This is the first resort I’ve rated a full 5 out of 5 stars—and for good reason. Every detail, from the personalized service to the architecture, food, and spa, was curated to perfection.
We stayed in the Ocean View Guest Room with a king bed, located on the upper floor. The room featured a private plunge pool, oversized bathroom with walk-in shower, separate commode (a personal must!), and expansive views of the Sea of Cortez. It was the perfect blend of modern luxury and warm, earthy design that grounded us in the natural beauty of Baja California.
But the true standout? The spa. Read on to see what made this stay absolutely unforgettable.

Every inch of the room felt deliberate and serene. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the terrace and our evenings in the plunge pool listening to the waves. The room is built for total immersion and restoration.
🍽️ Dining Experience
Zadún offers a small but mighty dining program. While there are only a couple of on-site restaurants, every meal exceeded expectations in both flavor and presentation. Ingredients were fresh, dishes were inspired, and the staff remembered our preferences day to day. We didn’t want to leave the resort to dine elsewhere, which made us wish there were a few more culinary options to explore on property.

El Barrio – Vibrant local dishes in a more casual setting
Candil Agave Bar – Sophisticated cocktails in an architecturally stunning space
Sensei Spa: Best Spa Experience...Ever
I’m extremely particular about spa experiences, but Sensei Spa blew me away. The spa’s hydrotherapy area includes a massive pool with various water treatments: jets, spouts, and lounging nooks all designed to offer different styles of pressure and massage. It felt more like a private wellness sanctuary than a hotel spa.
Notable spa features:
Dedicated attendants offering wellness drinks and snacks
Plush loungers and multiple relaxation areas that felt uncrowded and exclusive
Personalized touches, like a birthday surprise for my husband with custom decorations and refreshments
World class treatments with expertly trained therapists
No photo or website can truly capture the scale or serenity of this spa. It was, without exaggeration, the best spa experience we’ve ever had.

The 24/7 fitness center was large, modern, and immaculate. It included:
Free weights, cardio, and resistance machines
Complimentary drinks and snacks
Goggles available for the lap pool
Outdoor space for stretching or functional training
The beach was pristine and practically private, with comfortable loungers and personalized coolers for each setup—a thoughtful touch that elevated the entire experience.
